BIOGRAPHY OF DATO’ DR. VELLAYAN SUBRAMANIAM
Dato’ Dr. Vellayan Subramaniam, who worked as an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) till October 2023, is an accomplished zoo and exotic animal veterinarian, academician and researcher in zoo and exotic and laboratory animal medicine and surgery. He has also, over the past few decades, contributed significantly in improving the standards of zoo, exotic and laboratory animal management in Malaysia.
Throughout his service, he established himself as a leading expert in zoo, exotic and laboratory animal medicine and surgery. He began his tenure as a zoo veterinarian before rising to the prestigious position of Chief Veterinarian, and retired as the Assistant Director of Zoo Negara Malaysia.
Sublime Creative had the privilege of collaborating with Dato’ Dr. Vellayan Subramaniam and Sintram House Of Heritage (Publisher) to design his biography coffee table book, a tribute to his remarkable career as a pioneering figure in zoo, exotic, and laboratory animal medicine and surgery. Through captivating narratives and visually stunning design elements, the book celebrates Dato’ Dr. Vellayan’s contributions to advancing animal welfare and veterinary science in Malaysia. Our design concept for the biography coffee table book was inspired by Dato’ Dr. Vellayan’s multifaceted career and his deep connection to the natural world. We employed a blend of elegant typography and vibrant imagery to create a visually engaging narrative that captures the essence of
his life’s work.
